We have developed a linear mixed model that can be scalable to millions of biobank data. By including interaction terms and covariates in the linear model, we can detect genetic interactions in different human phenotypes. We plan to use this scalable linear mixed model to study genetic interactions in different diseases, which can help us better understand the genetic mechanism behind diseases and provide potential targets for drug development.
